We think you'll love this Vegan Pizza using our Unsweetened Barleymilk for National Pizza Day. We used all plant-based ingredients it's truly the perfect slice of deliciousness!
Vegan Cheese Ingredients
• 1/2 cup Take Two Unsweetened Barleymilk
• 1/2 head of cauliflower
• 3 tbsp tapioca flour (sub. 1.5 tbsp cornstarch)
• 1 tsp salt
• 1/2 tbsp nutritional yeast
Marinara Sauce Ingredients
• 3/4 cup tomato sauce
• 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1/4 teaspoon parsley
• 1/4 teaspoon oregano
• 1 pinch red pepper flakes
• Fresh basil
Pizza Dough(Either homemade or store bought)
Cheese
Step 1
Chop cauliflower into wedges and boil until soft (about 30 minutes)
Step 2
Place cauliflower and rest of cheese ingredients into blender or food processor and blend until smooth. (Add more barleymilk if necessary, should be fairly thin)
Step 3
Heat mixture on stove over medium heat for about five minutes while stirring continuously. You will notice the mixture thicken as the tapioca flour (or cornstarch) works it's magic.
Step 4
Remove from heat and set aside.
Sauce
Step 1
Mix tomato sauce with all seasonings and herbs.
Pizza
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 450 Degrees Fahrenheit and brush a small amount of olive oil onto a baking sheet.
Step 2
Spread dough into your desired thickness and bake for 5 - 7 minutes.
Step 3
Remove semi-cooked dough from oven and add sauce and then cheese.
Step 4
Place back in oven and bake until it reaches your desired crispness (10-15 minutes).
